YALA, Thailand -- A roadside bombing wounded eight soldiers Thursday (July 11th) in Yala's Raman district, despite a Ramadan truce signed with the rebel Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN), local media reported.

Authorities suspect an insurgent group led by Saifulloh Balor detonated the homemade bomb as a team designated to protect teachers patrolled by truck early Thursday morning, according to The Nation.

The Bangkok Post described the injuries as minor.
