JAKARTA, Indonesia – The National Anti-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) announced plans Monday (July 15th) to build a centre in Sentul, West Java at which terrorists would be deradicalised with the help of family members, local media reported.

"We expect the plant to operate next year," Deputy of Prevention, Protection and Deradicalisation for BNPT Agus SB told reporters, according to Tempo.co.

The terrorists in prison will be grouped according to their level of radicalism, merdeka.com reported. "The plan is to ascertain the various handling of convicted terrorists when detained by the police, the prosecutor or others. Terrorist prisoners must go back to live in the community; it is necessary for the programme," Agus added.
