Terrorist acts are condemned in the eyes of both God and humankind, because these activities will surely take many lives. As faithful creatures of God, we must realize this. People who carry out terrorist acts are people with no moral character or religion, because it is nothing new to the public that terrorists are tied to 'JIHAD', which in their understanding always undertakes action against the policies of the West. As a matter of fact, they themselves misunderstand what 'JIHAD' is. Forgive me, I'm not a Muslim, nonetheless I know that to 'do jihad' is a form of restraining oneself from all manner of temptations and tests, or in other words struggling with oneself: holding back desires, anger, from speaking insolently. The main point is, to hold oneself back from all behaviors deserving of contempt and blame, not to 'do jihad' under the guise of religion and take other people's lives, even the lives of those who commit these acts themselves. Because suicide itself is forbidden by religion. To that end, how good it would be for the future generation of the nation that before performing any action or deed, we think things through with a healthy conscience before going forward with such actions. Hopefully, our beloved Indonesian nation will be freed from terrorist acts in future years. That's all I have to say.

A caliph is freely chosen by Muslims everywhere for his wisdom and spiritual qualifications. The ISIL leader's proclamation of himself as caliph over all Muslims violates the principles of Islam.
