Amid demonstrations, Muslim leaders call for restraint
While upholding the right of Muslims to voice outrage against a film deemed offensive to Islam, clerics and political leaders have been calling for the protests to steer clear of violence.
There are many ways in which evil people strive to destroy the faith of Muslims because while they recognize the truth of prophet Muhammad, they violate it. This has been preached by Prophet Muhammad. So, Muslims should not be provoked by the film that insults prophet Muhammad; we can still condemn it but we must keep fighting with our own strength and pray to Allah SWT so that Islam remains strong.

If we dignify someone we perceive to be wrong with a response then we are no better than them. We are just hurting ourselves by letting such things provoke us. We need to keep our composure and let them shoot themselves in the foot.

A very matured response. Any attempt to insult relegion will never ne respected and peaceful reaction is the right way. The killing of the US Ambassador in Libya and the three staff canot be condoned and are the act and are definitely not supported by any relegious teachings. It is sad that when democracy is given and people are not aware of using their freedom in a positive manner than provoke relegious resentment. To my Muslim Brothers, peaceful demonstration will win the support of all relegious followers in condemning the amatuer film that insulted the Prophet. I am a Christian and am totally against the film, which lacks all compassion for our Muslim Brothers.

Wow, this filmmaker is a piece of work, a likely candidate for Dajjal. As Muslims we must be introspective, we must check ourselves because these days there many who claim to be Muslims but whose actions do not reflect the actions of prophet Muhammad SAW. Especially those who commit murders and adultery...in the name of jihad...okay.

We as Muslims around the world have a right to be be angry for our prophet has been insulted and abused. But I think expression of anger through violence is futile. Perhaps the prophet Muhammad in heaven is laughing at our deviation from religious norms (violence, killing, etc.) Isn't it better if we pray so that those who have been led astray by the images and film of the prophet will repent and so that Allah will admonish them and lead them back to the righteous path. Do you agree, world?

Provocations by the minions of Dajjal cannot go unchallenged.Our love for the Prophet SAW means we protect and defend him with our lives if necessary. Muslims respects all prophets from Adam,Abraham,Ishmail.Ishak,David,Ayub,Yusuf all the same so what is the motive for insulting Prophet Muhamad (PBUH).

I can only congratulate nonindry for his (I assume he is a male since he only calls on his brothers-room for improvement there) very positive attitude. Indeed, the people who make such films or publish such cartoons are only provoking muslims to show their true face. So let all muslims show tolerance and forgiveness and the production of such provocative material will quickly stop as it will have lost its very purpose. I wish to command all indonesian muslims for their restraint. If Afghans and other stans could behave like the people here, the world would be a much better place.

Allah almighty, this is just one of the tactics employed by the heathens to sow discord among Muslims. Don't let this provoke you, my brothers. Be like the Prophet Muhammad.
