Indonesian bank opens branch in Mumbai

MUMBAI, India – Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) opened its first branch in India's financial centre of Mumbai on Wednesday (July 10th), Tempo reported.

"The BII operation in Mumbai will open up potential new business opportunities for BII, given that India is one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia and the world," BII President Director Khairussaleh Ramli said in a written statement.

Initially, the Mumbai branch will offer basic products such as checking, savings and loans. More services will be offered in September.
