Suspected militants kill Narathiwat village head

NARATHIWAT, Thailand – A village head was shot and killed by suspected insurgents in Muang district Thursday (November 7th), local media reported.

    Attackers on a pickup truck unleashed a flurry of bullets on Kok Samu village head Abduloh Da-oh, 48, as he left a tea shop on his motorcycle. He was hit three times and died at the scene, according to The Bangkok Post.

    Meanwhile in Yala, Lammai police commissioner Thanasit Mattayat said suspicious boxes were found on Petchkasem Road and car tyres were set on fire, MCOT Online reported.

    Although no explosive devices were found, police said four men went to the location on two motorcycles, burned the tyres and left the boxes.
