For women in Pacitan, the coconut palm means opportunity
An NGO-run programme offers training that can help women earn a livelihood and gain economic independence. Meanwhile, the production of organic coconut palm sugar also promises to improve the quality of life in the area as a whole.

The people of this nation need to care about one another if we want Indonesia to stay strong and prosperous. We can't put each other down and oppress the weak. If that should happen then the nation will be weaker for it. If anyone should act outside the law it may be due to the ignorance that arises from not receiving the education that they so hope for coupled with their weak economic situation. So in this month of fasting we urge you to care for your fellow man because a secure nation provides leaders with the peace of mind needed for devising government programs for the prosperity of the Indonesian people. Amen.
