Suspicious bag spotted near Jakarta shopping mall

JAKARTA, Indonesia – A suspicious bag spotted behind the Grand Indonesia shopping mall in Central Jakarta brought out the bomb disposal unit Wednesday (June 12th), local media reported.

Central Jakarta Police chief Yoyol told Antara news agency that the bag was padlocked when experts arrived and that police were interrogating witnesses to see if anyone had seen it being dropped off.

"I could see that the bag contained a long iron rod," eyewitness Apriansyah told Detik.com.
