Five terror suspects held in Indonesia

JAKARTA, Indonesia –Detachment 88 arrested five people during a raid late Tuesday (August 20th) in Bekasi, West Java. All are suspected members of a group implicated in the planning of bomb plots, including a thwarted May attack on the Burmese Embassy, local media reported.

    Police arrested four others in May and confiscated five homemade bombs. They were accused of planning to bomb the embassy to avenge the persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Burma, The Jakarta Post reported.

    In Tuesday's raid, guns, ammunition and mobile phones were also seized, according to Tempo.
