One killed, 28 wounded in co-ordinated attacks in Yala

BANGKOK, Thailand – Four bombs exploded early Monday (April 7th) in downtown Yala, the morning after four other blasts in the city killed one person and injured 28, local media reported.

No-one was injured in the blasts Monday, which two place outside two 7-Eleven stores, inside a warehouse and in an office, according to the Bangkok Post.

The afternoon before, four explosions rocked Yala, including a device hidden in a car which destroyed the vehicle and damaged several nearby buildings.

"There were four almost simultaneous explosions in Yala town," army spokesman Pramote Prom-in told AFP.

A second bomb hidden in a suitcase killed one person, he said. Two smaller devices hit a market and a bank.
