Indonesia arrests Burmese embassy plot suspect

TEMANGGUNG, Indonesia – Police on Thursday (December 19th) arrested another suspect in the plot to bomb the Embassy of Burma in May, local media reported.

Banten native Priyo Hutomo, alias Iyok, was arrested at his aunt's home in Temanggung, Central Java. According to his aunt, he had been living with her in Sojayan hamlet of Temanggung Regency since June, after becoming estranged from his parents.

Police arrested him in connection with a plot to bomb the Embassy of Burma, Jakarta police spokesman Herry Heryawan, told Inilah.com. The case came to light after Detachment 88 found five bombs in a house in South Jakarta on May 2nd, allegedly intended for an embassy attack.

The trials of other suspects in the plot are already under way in Jakarta.
